Government Medical College Admission

Government Medical College Admissions

Government medical colleges are the most sought-after due to highly subsidized fees and exposure to complex clinical cases. Admissions are conducted via two channels:

15% All India Quota (AIQ)

Open to students from any state. Conducted by MCC. Includes seats in AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and 15% of all Govt colleges. Cutoffs are generally high (650+ for General).

85% State Quota

Reserved strictly for students holding the domicile of that specific state. Conducted by respective state authorities. Cutoffs vary significantly by state (e.g., lower in Karnataka, higher in Delhi/Rajasthan).

Our Role: We analyze your rank to predict your chances in AIIMS, JIPMER, and State Govt colleges, advising you on whether to lock a seat in Round 1 or upgrade in Round 2.

Private and Deemed Medical Colleges

Private Colleges & Deemed Universities

For students who miss government seats, private institutions offer excellent infrastructure. Understanding the difference between Private and Deemed is crucial.

Open States: States like UP, Karnataka, Kerala, and Bihar allow non-domicile students to apply for private seats. These are "merit" seats based on NEET score.

Closed States: States like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Punjab reserve private seats only for their own domicile students.

Cost: Ranges from ₹7 Lakh to ₹20 Lakh per year depending on the state and college ranking.

Deemed Universities (like KMC Manipal, Symbiosis, DY Patil) have no domicile restrictions. Counselling is 100% via MCC.

Management Quota: High fees, lower cutoffs. Open to all.

NRI Quota: For NRI/OCI/Sponsored candidates. Fees in USD. Vacant NRI seats often convert to Management seats in Stray Vacancy rounds.
