Why Study MBBS Abroad in 2026?
With over 20 lakh students competing for limited government seats in India, MBBS Abroad has emerged as the most practical alternative. It allows aspiring doctors to pursue their dreams in globally recognized universities without the burden of donation or exorbitant fees found in Indian private medical colleges.
Key Advantages:
- Low Cost Education: The complete course fees, including hostel, range from ₹18 Lakhs to ₹35 Lakhs, making it highly affordable.
- Direct Admission: No donation, no capitation fee, and no separate entrance exam. Admission is purely based on NEET qualification and 12th-grade marks.
- English Medium: Top universities in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan offer 100% English medium curriculums tailored for international students.
- Global Recognition: Degrees are recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), WHO, ECFMG (USA), and GMC (UK).
Top Countries & Fee Structure (2026 Estimates)
We strictly recommend countries that adhere to the NMC FMGL 2021 Regulations, ensuring a minimum 54-month course duration plus a 12-month internship in the same country.
| Country | Total Budget (Approx)* | Duration | Top Universities |
|---|---|---|---|
| Russia | ₹18 L - ₹35 L | 6 Years | Kazan Federal, Bashkir State |

| Philippines | ₹22 L - ₹30 L | 5.5 Years | Davao Medical, AMA School |
*Note: Budget includes Tuition and Hostel fees for the full course. Food and Travel are usually extra.
NMC Guidelines & The NExT Exam
What is NExT (National Exit Test)?
Starting from 2026-27 (expected), the NExT Exam will replace the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) and NEET-PG. This creates a level playing field for all medical students.
- Common Licensure Exam: Both Indian graduates and Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) will appear for the SAME exam to obtain their license.
- NExT Step 1: A theoretical computer-based exam held in the final year of MBBS.
- NExT Step 2: A practical and clinical exam conducted after the completion of the internship.
Verdict: Studying abroad is safer than ever, as the licensing process is now uniform for everyone.
